    JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Responsible for managing the inventory levels, schedules and availability of selected items, either manufactured or purchased.
  • Review and act on order release, actions and exception reports generated by the system.
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
  • Create schedules for production in the manufacturing plant, considering many factors such as equipment load and available capacity, product mix (stock versus make to order), and raw material availability.
  • Use SAP to view material movements, quantities on order, and current balance on hand.
  • Provide support for special projects within the department by completing assignments, providing historical records and future projections of shop load using SAP.

    • QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Qualified candidates will have two years of practical work experience as a Materials Planner/Scheduler Analyst in an engineer/make-to-order manufacturing setting.
  • Computer ability is required, including experience with SAP manufacturing software, spreadsheets, database managers, etc.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing practices, materials, finishes, blueprint reading, and metric system preferred.
