    Encore Technologies is seeking individuals for a short-term engagement with our client in Morehead, Kentucky. This Deskside Support Technician position will be working with a team to follow a script to apply necessary updates to individual workstations including but not limited to software updates, correct drive mappings, etc.

    Job Type: Short term contract w/ possible extensions

    Work Format : Onsite 100%

    Pay rate: 20/hr

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EXPECTATIONS:

    • Basic computer knowledge is expected but training will be provided, and all work will be supervised by the IT team onsite.
    • Strong customer service mindset and skills are required as the individual will be interfacing with client staff members via phone, email, and in person.
    • Patient, reliable, and motivation are important skillsets for the ideal candidate.
    • No driving required but walking between buildings, lifting, and some physical labor may be required.
    • The dress code is business casual; polo, jeans, comfortable walking shoes. No graphic designs, logos, inappropriate language.
    • Soft skills are critical as contractors will be engaged with faculty and technology team members. Some lifting and physical labor may be required.

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Contractors will be touching approximately 2,000 end client devices and utilizing a MSU provided checklist to perform updates, etc.
    • Contractor will take direction from the leadership team on daily schedule and checklist process.
