Mechanical Estimator (Sheet metal/HVAC Duct)

Location: Raleigh, NC

Nature of Position: Direct Hire

General Duties:

• Estimate mechanical ductwork for a sheet metal fabrication shop using Trimble AutoBidSheetMetal software. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Follow up with clients to confirm orders and negotiate projects.
• Organize and maintain an in-house bid list.
• Read and understand blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Incorporate all project specifications into the estimate.
• Create and maintain organized files for all projects.
• Keep records of all bids and follow up with clients on a weekly basis.
• Interact with clients via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
• Assist with pricing small call-in duct and custom fittings from clients.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Requirements:

• HVAC ductwork knowledge is preferred, but candidates who can read blueprints and are willing to learn will be considered.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Ambitious with a strong desire to succeed.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Previous experience with Trimble AutoBidSheetMetal software.
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
