    IU Health Physicians and the Indiana University School of Medicine seek a strong academic leader for the Vice Chair of Pediatric Anesthesia and Anesthesiologist in Chief at Riley Children's Health with the additional title of the Gopal Krishna Professor of Pediatric Anesthesia.

    Position Highlights:

    • Responsible for a group of approximately 35 pediatric anesthesiologists,18 anesthetists (CAA/CRNA), and 6 advanced practice providers (PA/NP)
    • In addition to clinical leadership appointment, faculty rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor
    • Oversee team providing anesthesia care for 23,000 general and surgical subspecialties including: cardiac, transplant, neurosurgery, ENT, GI, GU, complex ortho, and plastics at three locations
    • Protected administrative time

    Qualifications:

    • Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology, required
    • Board Certified in Anesthesiology, required
    • Subspecialty Board Certification in Pediatric Anesthesia, required
    • Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana, required
    • Experience in the practice of Pediatric Anesthesiology in a tertiary care academic setting
    • Experience in the management of clinical operations, medical education, and research (clinical or educational), mentorship, and faculty development
    • Visa sponsorship available; H-1B

    Responsibilities Include:

    • The VC/Chief is responsible for building a strategic vision for the division that fits with the history and culture of the institution
    • Leading day to day clinical operations to ensure high-quality care, including setting policies and guidelines for clinical care, OR coverage, and personnel management
    • Promoting collaboration among division faculty and other pediatric subspecialties at Riley, clinically and for research
    • Recruiting new faculty and supporting the career development of all members of the division
