    Bilingual Human Resources Manager

    Reno NV – in office (manufacturing plant)

    REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources(with a dotted line reporting relationship to the VP of Operations)

    Job Summary:

    The Human Resources Manager position will be responsible for aligning the Human Resource initiatives with business needs for the manufacturing plant/distribution center in Reno, Nevada. Provides support, counsel, and training to ensure on-going objectives are met. There are two direct reports to this role: HR Generalist and HR Administrator.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Serve as a key business partner and trusted advisor on the Reno, Nevadaplan leadership team. Provide support and consultation to operations leaders in Reno, Nevada, ensuring guidance complies with all federal, state, and local laws and with company policy. Advise managers to assess, drive and manage performance on their teams. Responsible for identifying and managing risks through consultative guidance and escalation of critical issues.
    • Collaborate with the Corporate Human Resources team on organizational Human Resource strategies including development of goals, programs, and other key initiatives. Communicate and escalate performance deficiencies or opportunities to the business unit leader, and functional leader, if appropriate.
    • Ensure you maintain current proficiency on local and federal laws that pertain to federal, state, local or city requirements. Escalate issues to HR functional partners to develop and institutionalize process or policy changes.
    • Lead investigations with Business DivisionLeader and Legal as needed. Review and approve all terminations and final written warnings prior to communication. Advise managers on all employee relations issues including investigations of complaints, disciplinary action, and terminations. Conduct exit interviews as applicable and follow-up on problematic exit surveys.
    • Manage talent acquisition initiatives including recruitment strategy, postings/advertisements, diversity, interviews, and selection. This includes drafting compelling job descriptions and determining the appropriate FLSA classifications and obtaining approval for compensation. Work closely with the evaluating panel on proper interview structure, questions, evaluation, and decision making.
    • Facilitate and manage all enterprise-wide human resource programs for success including annual compliance training, ad hoc programs, audits, benefit open enrollment, and performance management process including goal setting, feedback/coaching, development, and succession planning.
    • Provide internal customer service to all departments and employees to create a positive and professional work environment through clear communication, exemplary follow-thru and consistent application of policy and procedures.
    • Manage and audit data integrity through reporting and HRIS systems. Actively review transactions with hiring managers and unit leaders to ensure accuracy and timeliness of changes. Proactively review data for accuracy and patterns that require action.
    • Conduct employee meetings at the established cadence. Establish and maintain timely feedback loops with employees and managers by using feedback and survey results to foster transparency, appropriate concern and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
    • Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have accessor knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPPA.

    Skills and Knowledge

    Bilingual English/Spanish

    Analytical/Ability to leverage data to generate meaningful business insights for leaders.

    Bachelor's degree preferred.

    Confidential and discretion.

    Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills.

    Knowledge of State and Federal laws, rules and regulations pertaining to labor, benefits, and compensation.

    Minimum of 8 years in a similar HR management position required.

    Organized, detailed and results oriented.

    Proficient in HRIS systems (preferably ADP), Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.
