- Being the engineering resource on the sales team to lead technical aspects of the sales cycle
- Providing technical marketing support for the development and implementation of products
- Preparing materials and participate in product presentations
- Providing customer service to solve complex interconnect problems and technical inquiries
- Devising strategies to differentiate our products and solutions from competitors
- Meeting and exceed strategic objectives
- Travel: 30+% domestically, to support customer needs
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or other technical equivalent; Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science preferred
- The role will draw on either an electronic engineering background (signal transmission, EMI/EMC, signal integrity) and/or a mechanical engineering background (materials, tolerance analysis, CAD tools)
- 2+ year's current experience in design or applications engineering of electrical hardware components in an interconnect solutions industry
- Experience with providing product marketing and technical support to produce design wins
- Ability to effectively communicate across the engineering and managerial functions of a business
- Strong organization and presentation skills
- High level of customer service and ability to build relationships with customers
- 3-D Modeling tools such Pro/E and/or SolidWorks
- Microsoft Office Products
