    General Position Summary:
    Lays out, fits, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural
    forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, and building and platform parts by performing the
    following duties.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned)


    • Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding.
    • Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
    • Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
    • Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.
    • Assembles parts by bolting and riveting.
    • Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
    • Immediately report all Incidents/Accidents, no matter how small, to their Supervisor.

    • Prolonged sitting or standing for long periods of time.
    • Extensive use of a computer terminal

    • Frequently will lift up to 20 pounds

    • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and/or evenings as necessary (based on project
    demands)


    • Conducts walk-throughs of construction sites.
    • Normal office environment
    • Heavy physical effort required including pulling and lifting or moving heavy weight material with frequent lifting
    and/or moving of materials or equipment (over 50 pounds).


    • Requires the ability to continuously work around any or all of the following: noise, dust, heat, cold, solvents,
    fumes and heavy equipment


    • Requires working in outdoor weather conditions
    • Requires constant standing, sitting, bending, crouching, walking, pulling, pushing, reaching, kneeling
    • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and/or evenings as necessary (based on project
    demands)


    • Requires frequently working in confined spaces.
    • Requires working at all heights
    • Requires climbing up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects
