    Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for
    ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

    Scientist - Medical Lab Scientist


    Job Details:

    • Work 7 on/7 off schedule, Wednesday through Tuesday from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM with flexibility and potential to change
    • Perform all routine and complicated laboratory procedures including specimen processing and handling
    • Test patient specimens, calculate and report results
    • Perform quality control procedures and operate laboratory instrumentation and equipment
    • Cross-train to other laboratory sections as needed
    • Utilize Laboratory Information System for data entry and verification
    • Process patient specimens with attention to minimal pediatric specimen volumes when required
    • Participate in evaluation, development, and implementation of new testing procedures and protocols
    • Provide notification and documentation of critical laboratory values
    • Must possess Certification for MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS
    • Louisiana State License required
    • Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology required
    • No on-call requirements
    • Temp to perm possibility available
    • Must maintain current certification if expiration date applies
