    Work Group Lead / Field Service Engineer (RFESS)

    This position description covers the Work Group Lead (WGL) Field Service Engineer (FSE) role. The WGL is accountable to the Operations and Maintenance Manager for supporting in-scope work in Edwards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Provide training and technical oversight for all activities with RFESS, including employee evaluations, timecard review, status reporting, documentation updating, candidate interviewing, and metrics compliance.
    2. Directly interface with NASA Technical Monitors, Performance Monitors Test Information Engineers Range System Engineers Range Control Officers Code 600 personnel Works closely with them to coordinate task mission requirements Comply Dryden Aeronautical Test Range Configuration Control Board Mission Control Center Work Order processes ensure accurate timely reporting Perform periodic corrective maintenance sustaining engineering telemetry real-time data processing post flight systems established procedures independently troubleshoot recover routine non-routine problems
