- Collaborate closely with the Chief Scientific Officer to shape the scientific vision and translate it into operational strategies.
- Recruit and nurture a team specializing in characterizing siRNA pharmacology, streamlining processes, and enhancing organizational efficiency to successfully execute program plans.
- Implement research strategies with precision and determination to ensure achievement, clearly communicate objectives and priorities, empower the team, and ensure accountability for performance and outcomes.
- Lead the team in resolving scientific challenges.
- Design and conduct biochemical and in vivo assays to facilitate real-time decision-making with prompt and high-quality data to support our goals.
- Engage closely with internal research, preclinical, and development teams to promote RNA delivery and innovative design in alignment with corporate timelines.
- Interact with senior management and external stakeholders to advance business development goals.
- Offer scientific guidance by coordinating activities among teams with diverse backgrounds and locations.
- Supervise and provide scientific guidance to direct reports to support scientific and career progression.
- Maintain scientific expertise by staying updated on scientific literature, participating in conferences, and building relationships with industry experts.
- PhD in pharmacology or a related field with a strong record of scientific achievements, preferably in RNA therapeutics.
- Minimum of 10 years of pertinent industry experience, including over 5 years in leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success in leading within a high-growth, innovative, and rapidly evolving environment.
- Proven ability to inspire, lead, mentor, and manage senior executives and project teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated capacity to deliver compelling presentations to diverse audiences.
- Extensive experience in characterizing nucleic acid modalities, including translational assays.
- Proficiency in developing strategic timelines and achieving corporate objectives successfully.
- Compensation: Salary range between $250K to low $300K base, supplemented with bonuses, equity, and medical benefits. Salary will be determined based on level of expertise and experience.
