- Bake a variety of breads, pastries, desserts, and other confections following established recipes.
- Measure and weigh ingredients precisely using scales and measuring cups.
- Mix doughs and batters using mixers and other equipment.
- Operate ovens and adhere to baking times and temperatures.
- Decorate cakes, cupcakes, and other pastries with icings, glazes, and creative flourishes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area according to sanitation guidelines.
- Ensure the quality and freshness of all baked goods.
- Maintain stock levels of prepared goods and rotate products to minimize waste.
- May assist with packaging baked goods for sale.
- (Optional) Develop new recipes and contribute to the bakery's menu
- Experience in a bakery or restaurant kitchen is preferred.
- Strong understanding of baking principles and techniques.
- Ability to follow recipes precisely and work independently.

About the job
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks throughout the baking process, from mixing ingredients to presenting finished products. You will be hands-on with working with and around a variety of baking tools, ingredients and methods to produce a variety of fresh breads and patisserie items to delight and thrill our guests.
About you
The ideal candidate will love food, cooking, talking about food, and have an appreciation for providing excellent guest service. Past experience and a working knowledge of baking science and techniques is preferred, as are candidates with a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
