    Position Summary Information

    Job Description Summary
    The Graduate Assistant in Marketing and Communications will provide content and updates for Lewis University's social media sites.

    Responsibilities

    Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.


    • Provide content, scheduling, monitoring, and communicating for Lewis University's official Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIN, and TikTok accounts, and other social media channels as assigned.
    • Collaborates with others on social media team to develop strategy for Lewis channels.
    • Assists other University employees with social media initiatives.
    • Participates in issue and crisis communication planning and implementation.
    • Coordinates and provides onsite communication support for various University events, press conferences, and other PR initiatives.
    Minimum Qualifications
    Must be enrolled and maintain satisfactory progress in one of the University's Graduate Programs.

    Must have social media account management experience and having working knowledge of the applications of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) Basic graphic design and video skills preferred, but not required.

    Ability to multi-task and proficiently communicate in English. Must possess solid writing experience, knowledge of grammar, and basic editing skills. Must be familiar with Facebook, Instagram, and other social media channels. Strong communications, creative, and collaboration abilities are required.

    Preferred Qualifications
