    The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management through Nextran Truck Center's Orlando and Auburndale locations.

    This position also performs HR generalist duties necessary to support HR functions within the Central Region, including but not limited to recruiting, compliance, employee relations, performance management, employee communication, compensation, and benefits administration.

    The HRBP formulates partnerships with management across the Region to deliver value-added services in support of the employee experience, customer experience, and overall organizational profitability.

    The HRPB must be proficient with Human Resources technology and will demonstrate an effective level of business literacy about the Region's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition.

    This position reports to General Manager.


    Responsibilities:
    ·


    Conducts ongoing meetings with Management from both dealerships to understand business needs, challenges, and opportunities, and communicates/supports/implements value-added services as related to human capital.

    ·


    Acts effectively as a liaison between Corporate HR and the Central Region in all aspects of communication and HR service implementation; qualified to work independently as a "department of one" for the Region.

    Effectively sources, recruits, and supports Management during the talent acquisition and onboarding process
    ·

    Communicates and supports the enrollment of employee benefits; directs employees to resources as necessary
    ·

    Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the broader Nextran HR team to develop solutions,
    ·

    Partners with Managers to effectively address employee issues. Conducts effective, thorough investigations, as warranted.
    ·


    Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance, inclusive of D.O.T.

    compliance.
    ·

    Provides day-to-day performance management guidance (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, goal setting, reviews, disciplinary actions).
    ·

    Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
    ·

    Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
    ·

    Provides guidance and input on workforce planning and succession planning.
    ·

    Participates in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
    ·

    Works closely with the Accounting Department to ensure the accuracy of employee information in HRIS for payroll processing. Is capable of running payroll as backup, if necessary.

    Performs other related duties as assigned.


    Preferred Education/Skills/Qualifications:
    ·

    Minimum of 8 years of progressive Human Resources experience within a decentralized, privately-held organization, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or skilled trade environment
    ·

    Strong business acumen, including the ability to read and understand a P&L statement
    ·


    Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational development, employee and union relations, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
