Job Summary
The Supplemental Speech Pathologist will be responsible for evaluating and rehabilitating patients of all ages with communication and swallowing disorders. The role involves documenting findings, providing guidance to patients and caregivers, making recommendations, and supporting program development. Additionally, the therapist will serve as a mentor to assistants, students, interns, and technicians.
Job Description
This position is for an SLP to join the acute care team at Memorial City Hospital on a supplemental basis. Shifts will include weekdays (Mondays and Fridays) and weekends (Saturdays and/or Sundays) every 6 weeks. The shifts are 8 hours long with flexibility in start times.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Must have a Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited university program.
Licenses/Certifications: Must be licensed to practice in Texas and hold certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, along with Basic Life Support certification.
