    Role Summary:

    The DLCM Baseline Specialist Sr's primary role is to lead the NAR strategy and definition of each OTA software compound in alignment with VWAG.

    The Baseline Specialist Sr will support and communicate each software package back to the market, work with BTVs in WOB on building the compound checklist and facilitate trouble shooting initiatives with software and technical owners when component level issues arise.

    This role is responsible for ICE and BEV vehicle OTA campaigns for Volkswagen brand.

    This role requires a strong blend of understanding the touchpoints that make up the business, operational and technical ecosystem of Volkswagen's connected cars, in-vehicle software development, and the ability to translate this knowledge into leading software releases that will drive the business towards continuous improvement of customer vehicles.


    Role Responsibilities:
    Main responsibility
    • End to End responsibilities for Compound Planning for DLCM Magic %oDirect responsibility for working with VWAG on Verbund definition to meet NAR market strategy and roadmap across all ICE and BEV configurationsoEstablish relationships with WOB counterparts, testing teams, integrated DLCM Core TeamoDefine and govern Verbund compounds with support from BTVs and NAR DLCM Core TeamoPresent Verbunds to DLCM Core Team and support Magic 12 releases from planning to deliveryoFacilitate construction of each Verbund checklist in Sys42oSupport DLCM Campaign Manager in campaign creation based on created checklistsoComplete analysis between source and target software levels for developing campaign strategy and supporting new market requirementsoLeads development (SW-Cluster) towards Baselines (TE-VBV) per brand incl.
    testing, security, approval, ORU-deployment-abilityoHand over baselines for production and aftersales/serviceoHand over baselines to DLCM Release Manager for ORU-deploymentManage ECU Component testing trouble shooting - 25%oSupport campaign testing from robustness through Quality and Engineering sign-offoManage compound technical escalations for component specific issues with BTVsSteer software compound technical changes to resolve Verbund related testing issuesQualifications:Years of Experience:5+ years of relevant industry experience3-5+ years of leading and supporting vehicle releases, Understanding Vehicle Component Architecture, Leading New Software Integration Lifecycle, Managing Testing Strategy, Software Deployments, Pilots and Launch Approval GatesAutomotive experience requiredEducation
    • Required:Bachelor's degree in business related or engineering fieldEducation
    • Desired:Business degree with technical experience and strong technical acumenSkills:Core CompetenciesExperience in leading the delivery of projects that have a high degree of complexity in hardware and software.
    Proven ability to work in cross functional teams with designers, coders, integrators and business teams.
