    Description
    University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis is currently seeking a head athletic trainer to lead its in-house athletic training services for student athletes. This position will provide leadership to develop, coordinate, and administer a comprehensive sport medicine program for University intercollegiate sports.

    The athletic trainer will help with the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses of student athletes and perform and administer sports medicine services.


    The UHSP Eutectics participate in National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) sports as a member of the American Midwest Conference.

    Teams include men's and women's basketball, golf, soccer, cross-country, track and field, volleyball, eSports, co-ed competitive cheer, men's baseball and rugby, and women's softball and lacrosse.

    Qualifications

    To succeed in this role you will need:

    • 2-3 years of professional experience, Masters Degree preferred
    • Certification by NATA Board of Certification (NATABOC)
    • Licensure by the State of Missouri Board of Registration for Healing Arts or eligible for licensure
    • Certified in CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers & Health Care Providers or Basic Life Support
    • Outstanding organizational and prioritization skills with proven track record
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • People oriented and able to work with various personalities
    • Protects privacy of individual student-athletes and medical information
    • Alignment with institutional values and the ability to represent the philosophy and educational goals of University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy
    • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as the schedule dictates
    • Knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations is preferred
    • Ability to demonstrate necessary skills for the assessment and treatment of injuries as well as other physical skills needed for sports performance
    • Moving equipment and supplies needed for practices and games
