    IT Field Technician Epic Technical Dress Rehearsal

    W-2 Contract with Extension

    $20/Hour ($30/Hour OT)

    Medasource is currently seeking skilled IT Field Technicians to prepare our healthcare clients technical environment for an Epic EMR software implementation. As a Field Technician for this Technical Dress Rehearsal (TDR) project, you will be responsible for working on-site with various support teams to upgrade our clients IT Infrastructure in preparation for their Epic system Go-Live.

    The IT Field Technicians are responsible for:

    • Navigating hospitals, clinics, and physician offices to locate Epic ready workstations and printers
    • Interacting with local staff to locate devices and access restricted areas
    • Following documented instructions (test scripts) to identify end-user workflow issues
    • Reporting testing results within the Epic TDR Result Editor tool in Hyperspace
    • Managing test patient information to imitate nurse workflows
    • Communicating issues through the Technical Dress Rehearsal (TDR) Bridge Line
    • Working with support staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues real time

    Additional tasks and responsibilities may include:

    • Deploying hardware peripherals
    • Troubleshooting computer hardware issues
    • Troubleshooting Windows 10 operating system issues
    • Managing ServiceNow ticketing queues

    Qualifications:

    • 1+ years of IT Desktop Support or Field Technician experience
    • 1+ years of Customer Service/Hospitality experience
    • Ability to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment
    • Knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems
    • Exceptional reporting skills with emphasis on detailed analysis
    • General computer hardware experience with desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
    • Prior Epic/EMR or Healthcare experience is preferred
    • Reliable transportation; driving will be necessary to support hospitals and clinics in and around the West Florida area (approved mileage expenses, parking, and tolls will be reimbursed on a weekly basis)
    • Ability to work full time hours from Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM, as well as overtime hours and varying shifts if needed (you will receive time-and-a-half pay for OT)

    Position requires some travel.

    Valid drivers license required and use of a vehicle during work hours for site travel and equipment transport.
