    Duties & Responsibilities:
    Participates in primary care of patients as needed and makes rounds as indicated to verify the patient needs are metProvides nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical conditionMonitors patients and informs surgeons or anesthesiologists immediately of observed complicationsAssists in coordinating patient care activities with medical staff and healthcare team members to provide for continuity of patient careDocuments that information received from the patient is disseminated to the appropriate people or areasDocuments and carries out Pre/Post-Operative orders given by the Surgeon, as well as documents all information for post-anesthesia care of the patientAssists nursing staff in identifying and solving nursing care problemsCollaborates with medical staff and healthcare team members in developing coordinated outcomes and interventions regarding patient progress and careAssists with nursing activities during emergenciesEducates and provides instruction to patients and family members on postoperative careEffectively organizes time, equipment, supplies, and personnel for managing patient careMaintains order and cleanliness of postoperative areasAssists in the inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels in postoperative areasFollows established HIPPA policies and procedures at all timesAssumes accountability and responsibility for attendance and timely completion of mandatory training programs, unit-specific requirements (i.e. CEUs/ACLS/BLS), and unit meetings.
    RequirementsAdvanced knowledge of medical terminologyExcellent verbal and written communication skills across various audiences (i.e.

    staff, visitors, patients, family members, and physicians)Superior listening skills with the ability to quickly comprehend instructions in emergency situationsAbility to frequently synthesize patient data and implement an action plan appropriate to the situation (strong critical thinking skills and good judgment)Associate degree or bachelor's requiredGraduation from Accredited School of NursingHolds and maintains an active Registered Nurse License and educational requirementsHold and maintains an active Multistate Registered Nurse License or will obtain one if hiredHolds and maintains an active BLS and ACLS certificationMinimum one year of PACU experience requiredBilingual in English and Spanish is preferredMia Aesthetics is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
