    JOB TITLE:

    Community Engagement & Outreach Coordinator III

    JOB PURPOSE:

    The incumbent will coordinate the implementation of specific components of one or more projects within the Wyoming Rural Health Institute. The initial project for the current position will be with the Wyoming Maternal Health Innovation Program (WY-MHIP), which is focused on developing, implementing, and researching the impact of innovations in maternal health throughout Wyoming. Responsibilities will include community and stakeholder engagement activities, supporting community-engaged research initiatives, establishing relationships with individuals and organizations, creating, and overseeing community engagement initiatives, and serving as a consultative resource to partners and agencies. The incumbent may also provide program coordination support to other initiatives in the Wyoming Rural Health Institute as needs arise.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Developing and overseeing goals and objectives for community engagement across multiple federally funded initiatives, including responsibility for ongoing engagement of key partners and management of community engagement budgets. Supervising staff involved in community engagement activities, helping to set goals and evaluate performance.
    Providing leadership and expertise in building and maintaining relationships with community members and agencies. Identifying and recruiting new partners into Institute activities and engaging in routine partner maintenance activities to facilitate implementation of large, multi-year initiatives.
    Creating and providing training, continuing education, and instruction in areas of community engagement, community-based research, and participatory-action research. Maintaining high standards in ethics and compliance related to community-engaged research.
    Assisting with creation of progress reports and community dissemination materials, including presenting at partner and civic organizations.
    SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:

    REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:

    This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

    Experience: 1 year experience with community engagement

    Required licensure, certification, registration, or other requirements: Required licensure, certification, registration, or other requirements: Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Master's degree in a relevant field (preferred)
    Ability to effectively manage time and set priorities.
