    MT requires all team members and classroom volunteers to have completed a COVID-19 primary series and received one booster dose. Team members who are not yet eligible for a booster must submit proof of their booster vaccination within 2 months of receiving their final primary series dose or an original monovalent booster vaccine to

    Martha's Table will consider waiving the vaccination requirement for:

    • Team members who object in good faith and in writing, pursuant to procedures established by the City Administrator or his or her designee, that the employee's vaccination would violate their sincerely held religious beliefs; and
    • Team members who have obtained and submitted written certification from a physician or other licensed health professional who may order an immunization, that being vaccinated for COVID-19 is medically inadvisable because of the employee's medical condition.

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The Martha's Outfitters Program Associate is responsible for conducting the daily operations of the clothing and physical goods distribution programming at Martha's Table and building relationships with the members participating in the program. The responsibilities include providing customer service to our guests in-person and over the phone, conducting operations in the front and back of our boutique including database and administrative tasks, acting as ambassador for the wider organization, and contributing to larger departmental and organizational goals.

    POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide excellent customer service in-person and via our phone service, including assisting clients with clothing selections, checking clients out, using tracking and database systems, and providing additional information about Martha's Table and connections to its programs.
    • Manage Martha's Outfitters inventory, to include sorting donations, inventory organization and tracking, preparing unused donations for partner pickup, among other tasks.
    • Maintain accurate sales and member interaction and satisfaction information through Martha's Table's POS and CRM systems and other software-based management and reporting systems as required.
    • Lead and work with volunteers to complete daily operational tasks of the phone, web, and in-store programs.
    • Arrange the store to support a positive customer experience for all of our guests. This includes preparing the sales floor each day, arranging merchandise and other equipment in a visually appealing and practical manner, cleaning the store periodically throughout each day, and maintaining a safe space for all.
    • Complete order fulfillment for members and community partners.
    • Actively participate in events and activities as part of the wider organization. These include participating and leading meetings, committees, event planning and operations, community outreach, and other tasks that contribute to meeting Martha's Table's goals and mission.
    • Attend at least 2 anchor events annually
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

    • Strong belief in Martha's Table's mission, approach, and core values.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on building positive relationships, working effectively as part of a team, and striving to meet the needs of those we serve.
    • Experience working in a client or customer facing environment.
    • Strong time management skills and demonstrated problem solving experience in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in multiple software applications including most Microsoft Office products and Google Suite.
    • Basic knowledge of fashion and apparel, clothing brands, sizing, and general retail operations.
    • Skilled at taking initiative, problem-solving, and working independently.
    • Strong administrative skills including typing, data entry, and POS systems.
    • Good organizational skills and an ability to manage a variety of tasks and competing deadlines.
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and community groups.
    • Comfortable with public speaking.
    • Able to respond to organizational change and maintain a positive attitude.
    • Bilingual in English/Spanish, preferred but not required

    EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

    • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Moderate physical activity. Requires moderate movement. Work environment predominantly in a store setting.
