About the Role
As a key member of AESC US LLC, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to lead in full-value-chain battery solutions for a sustainable future.
Duties will primarily revolve in Apriso MES and global applications for the manufacturing environment to assure the implementation is successful.
This position will also be involved in directing system testing and validation procedures and working with customers or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.
The ideal candidate will partner with the management on key initiatives and will develop, implement, and manage various projects and programs in support of overall business effectiveness.
Your work within the IT Team will directly impact our strategic goals and contribute to our position as a global leader in battery technology.
What You Will DoDesign, implementation, administration, and support of the MES System
Initiate and manage Global Applications (Production specific systems such as Quality, Andon, SCM, AGV
Coordinates and supports Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Apriso, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and PC based solutions for AESC US battery manufacturing information & control systems.
Provides improvements to the various existing and new systems in coordination with global CoE Team.Collaborates with process engineers, product engineers, quality and production managers to optimize production processes.
Establish and maintain interfacing and communications between MES and ERP.
Prepares and maintains full MES documentation.
Learns and improves existing in-house systems.
Resolves issues and implementing new feature requests.
Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and be able to manage priorities.
Job requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
What You NeedBachelor's degree in Computer Science, technical training, or equivalent combination of
education/experience
Apriso MES Knowledge preferred or any other MES System
Preferred candidate is knowledgeable with SCADA packages
Preferred candidate knowledgeable with Open Platform Communications (OPC) servers, such as Kepware
Experience with Agile Methodology/Scrum principles an advantage
Oracle DB knowledge
At least 3 years of professional programming experience, Industrial Environment is preferred
Proficiency in at least one high-level language, .NET C# or VB.Net preferred
Strong SQL competency is a must, Oracle or MS SQL server preferred
Proficiency with conferencing system (Microsoft Teams)
Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards
Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards
What is "Nice to Have"?
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to troubleshoot, modify, and standardize EUC environments
Developing Implementation plans
Incident, problem, and change management
Project Management methods and tools
Networking concepts and technologies
Must be a self-motivated individual with good written and verbal communication skills
Must have good understanding of root cause analysis (RCA), problem-solving techniques for issue resolution
Prior experience with Enterprise or large business environment is desired (MFG preferred)
Creating and reviewing application specifications.
Preferred candidates will have experience as an application developer working with controls engineers to integrate factory automation and data collection systems.
Knowledge of battery manufacturing, EV manufacturing, or refinery operationsProficiency in additional languages beyond English is advantageous
