    Description
    Job Summary:
    Oversees unit activities, ensuring quality, service, and efficiency standards are met. Manages day to day shift tasks.Essential Responsibilities:
    • Oversees daily clinical operations, staffing, budgets, and quality improvement. Ensures top-notch care complying with regulations and departmental policies.
    • Plans to enhance staff development. Supervises a single unit's team.
    • Monitors personnel allocation based on patient needs, aiming for optimal care and cost savings.
    • Supervises unit operations, HR, safety, and risk management.
    • Ensures high service quality and patient care standards. Collaborates with external healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
    • Participates in compensation reviews and job description updates.
    Basic Qualifications: Experience
    • At least two years of nursing experience.
    • Minimum two years of leadership experience in nursing.
    Education
    • Graduate of accredited nursing school. High school diploma OR GED required.
    License, Certification, Registration
    • California RN License required.
    • Basic Life Support certification.
    Additional Requirements:
    • Preceptor or charge nurse training completion.
    • Knowledge of quality improvement, clinical care processes, and regulations.
    • Interpersonal communication skills.
    • ACLS, PALS, NRP certification may be necessary.
    • Experience in Labor/Management Partnership environment.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • ACLS certification strongly preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
