    MEP Engineering Manager - PE

    Salary: 160k - 180k

    We are seeking a

    Manager of Mechanical Design

    to help provide technical and project leadership to our Mechanical group.


    In this role you will:

    • Guide, mentor and provide technical leadership to the team.
    • Manage projects from inception to completion
    • Establish scope, work plan and work schedule and ensure this is communicated to the project staff and other department managers.
    • Manage staff utilization to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
    • Provide QA/QC review for design calculations and drawings
    • Serve as technical advisor for staff
    • Develop and mentor junior staff
    • Cultivate client relationships
    • Help with proposal development
    • Other duties, as assigned

    We are looking for someone who has:

    • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
    • Illinois P.E. License
    • 15 plus years of related technical experience
    • 5 plus years as a people manager
    • Relationship building skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Strong mechanical code knowledge including ASHRAE standards
    • AutoCAD, Revit, CostWorks, and other related software knowledge
