    Overview:

    Directly responsible for all aspects of maintenance department. Provides leadership and strategic planning to all sub-departments in support of the safety and service culture, maximizing operations and guest satisfaction. Responsible for managing the department's management team and overall objectives: safety, facility maintenance, guest satisfaction, employee retention and satisfaction, and cost control. Coordinates with outside agencies to ensure that all local and legislative codes and standards are being met for regulated functions within the department.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversees the operational functions of the maintenance department as per the organizational chart. Water Quality, grounds, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, ride maintenance/repair and park cleaning. Ensure full compliance of operating controls, SOPs, policies, procedures and service standards on a day-to-day basis. Lead all key departmental initiatives including capital projects, routine and preventative maintenance and facility improvements. Coordinate and oversee pre-opening maintenance projects for all operating departments. Provides effective leadership to all team members. Deal with the public, customers, employees, vendors and local authority with tact and courtesy. Plans and organizes the work of direct reports and their staff. Ensures good safety practices and a positive work environment.
    • Responsible for the preparation and subsequent achievements of the department's annual operating budgets. Manages the ongoing profitability as supported by the department through coordination and execution of cost controls. Oversees procurement of the department's operating supplies, equipment and 3rd party contract vendors for essential services.
    • Oversees and maintains an active human resource function. Interviewing, hiring and maintaining staffing levels for all responsible departments. Oversees the training of all hired staff members, and continued education/training requirements for existing staff. Works with HR department on all employee performance related items. Oversee and approve staff schedules, payroll, employee motivation efforts, evaluations, trainings and wages.

    Qualifications:

    Qualifications:

    • Must be at least 18 years old.
    • Must have 5+ years of relevant experience
    • Must have experience of budgets, P&L's and forecasting. General knowledge of trade functions including carpentry, mechanics, electrical and plumbing. Highly focused, excellent communication skills, motivated and professional in appearance and presentation. Computer knowledge in various systems, HR/payroll systems, work orders, MS excel, word and Outlook.
    • Experience managing a team.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Climbing, balancing stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, picking, pinching, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motion of the hands, wrists and/or fingers.
    • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
    • Exposure to environmental conditions such as rain, direct/indirect sun and heat for extended periods of time.
    • Subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
    • Subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
    • Subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
    • Exposure to multiple, high-stress situation at any given time and must maintain a high level of alertness.
