    BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn is NYC's longest-running, free performance festival, and a beloved summer tradition featuring approximately 25 varied large-scale performances and attracting upwards of 200,000 people each summer to the Prospect Park Bandshell.

    About Administrative Associate

    BRIC seeks a seasonal Administrative Associate to provide administrative and operational support for BRIC's Celebrate Brooklyn at the Lena Horne Bandshell in Prospect Park, with a focus on serving all levels of administration and festival logistics prior to the festival and on-site during the full run of the festival.

    What You'll Do in the Role:


    The Administrative Associate will be responsible for the following in addition to any other project as assigned by their managers, the Producer and Operations Manager:

    • Provide overall administrative support
    • Assist Human Resources with new hire paperwork and timekeeping administration
    • Manage and distribute all staff credentials and staff t-shirts
    • Coordinate and track schedule for NYC permits for outdoor operations
    • Assist with event operations: guest lists, ticketing, front of house staff, Artist load-in and load-out, merchandise, and other logistics.
    • Support ticketing services including show builds, presales, on-sale, box office, generating reports and overseeing/training house staff on scanner use and troubleshooting
    • Collect attendance and other event data
    • Prepare, manage and distribute post-event show reports
    • Support negotiations for vendor services; including ATM, sanitation and equipment rental
    • Support Operations Manager with on-site support for vendors and sponsors.
    • In coordination with BRIC marketing, manage and order lanyards, wristbands, t-shirts

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
    • Ability to be on one's feet and walk festival grounds
    • Willingness to work outdoors, early mornings, late nights, long days, and weekend shifts, and to work in inclement weather.

    • Experience & Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's Degree or substitute experience
      • Detail Oriented
      • Advance knowledge and experience with Excel spreadsheets
      • Proficient in Google documents
      • 2 years' experience in performing arts administration and/or festival production
    • Communication & Relationship Building: An emotionally intelligent, organized and values-driven individual who can collaborate across departments and at all levels of the organization, and upholding an essence of confidentiality where needed. Highly skilled communicator and relationship builder, both individually and in large audiences or public communications.
    • Commitment to Equity & Inclusion: Brings experience operationalizing equity within the Performing Arts and or Hospitality function.
    • Prioritization: Experience with outdoor events a plus
    • Technological acumen: Experience with ticketing software, particularly Ticketmaster and Universe
    • Start date: April 29, 2024

    • Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $25.00.
    • Status and location: This is a temporary part-time role from April- September. This is an exempt hybrid role based in our Brooklyn office and remote locations including the bandshell.
