Job Summary
GENERAL INFORMATION:
The person in this position needs to have knowledge of typical and atypical speech and language development, dual language acquisition; the ability to work and collaborate in a team, and to consult with staff in inclusive/integrated therapy classrooms.
Qualified candidate needs to have the ability to effectively assess preschoolers, determine eligibility, and develop and implement effective speech-language intervention programs.
Qualified candidate needs be in good physical condition which allows for sitting on the floor with children, lifting, and moving with children.
Qualified candidate needs to have adequate hearing and speech skills to be able to hear children and communicate clearly with children, parents, and staff.
Computer skills are needed in this position. The site location of this position is Calistoga.View Job Description
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Clear Credential in Clinical Services or California Speech-Language Pathology License or American SpeechLanguage-Hearing Association Verification of Certification Letter (last 2 options enable person to apply for a Clear Credential).
Experience working in inclusive preschool settings, using an integrated therapy approach in classrooms, children with Social Pragmatics issues, alternative/augmentative communication, apraxia, and/or dual language learners is favorable.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) fluency is desirable, but not mandatory.APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
