    Description


    Retro Biosciences is a fast-growing biopharma start up using high-throughput, high-dimensional approaches to develop therapies for diseases driven by the biology of aging.

    Our mission is to increase healthy human lifespan by 10 years.

    We are looking for a highly organized and self-motivated Lab Instrument Engineer who craves a challenge and feels energized to roll up their sleeves.

    You will work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment as a member of the Retro Operations team.

    While your primary responsibility will be to assist in day-to-day lab equipment needs, you will juggle multiple balls and contribute to various initiatives and special projects.


    What you'll do in this role:

    Set up and install new laboratory instruments and equipmentDiagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of lab instruments and equipmentMaintain accurate records of maintenance logs including calibration reports, quality checks, and other service reportsTrain lab personnel on proper use, document workflows in SOPsSupport acquisition and disposition of lab equipmentBe on-call for emergencies, some weekends and holidaysYou might thrive in this role if you:Have a degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering, electronics, or other equivalentHave at least 2-5 years of related experience with machines such as cell analyzers, flow cytometers, and cell sortersLove complex machines and already have a history of playing with them for funKnow how instruments work and can take a shot at just fixing them instead of throwing up your hands and calling the manufacturerAre able to lift and move heavy equipment, at least 50 lbsAre resourceful and can figure out how to solve unusual problemsMove fast and maintain a high level of attention to detail, organization, and followthroughAre proficient in Google Suite and AsanaWe take pride in cultivating an environment that fosters collaboration, open communication, and authenticity.

    The annual salary range for this role is $120,000-$150,000 annually.
