    Job Title: Cultural Resource Program Specialist - ACHP's Office of Federal Agency Programs

    Company: Advisory Council on Historic Preservation


    Duties:

    • Offering expert technical assistance to Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) for proper management of historic properties
    • Interpreting and applying Section 106 of the NHPA and related laws to FHWA, SHPOs, THPOs, tribes, NHOs, and preservation organizations

    Assistance includes:

    Representing ACHP in complex cases, maintaining best practice briefs, assisting in project reviews, providing technical assistance, contributing to workshops, and more

    • Providing technical assistance to FHWA and State DOTs in coordinating Section 106 and NEPA reviews

    Salary Information:

    GG-13: $117,962.00 to $153,354.00 per year


    Specialized Experience:

    Must possess one year of specialized experience in cultural resource program support, consultations, and projects related to Section 106


    Requirements:

    • Must meet Selective Service requirements

    Education:

    Degree in fields like architectural history, archeology, urban planning, or related areas is highly desirable
