    Department OverviewThe penetration testing team is part of the Cybersecurity Advisory Services Group. We perform external, internal, wireless, and web application assessments as well as social engineering engagements (phishing, vishing, physical). The group provides full spectrum cybersecurity services. We also provide virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) services, perform different types of cybersecurity risk assessments and exercises.
    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vulnerability Management Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in running vulnerability scans, including expertise in using Tenable Nessus Professional, Tenable, and Rapid7. Additionally, the candidate should possess excellent communication skills and be comfortable presenting vulnerability assessment findings to customers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct regular vulnerability scans using Tenable Nessus Professional, Tenable and Rapid7 to identify security weaknesses and potential threats.
    • Analyze scan results and generate comprehensive reports outlining vulnerabilities, prioritizing risks, and suggesting appropriate mitigation strategies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely remediation of identified vulnerabilities and track progress.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest security vulnerabilities, industry trends, and best practices.
    • Present vulnerability assessment findings and recommendations to customers in a clear and concise manner.
    • Provide guidance and support to internal teams on vulnerability management, security best practices, and risk assessment methodologies.

    Requirements:

    • Strong understanding of vulnerability assessment methodologies, tools, and techniques.
    • Excellent knowledge of common security vulnerabilities, exploitation techniques, and attack vectors.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze scan results, prioritize risks, and provide actionable recommendations.
    • Proficient in presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders, such as customers or executive teams.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Relevant certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Tenable Certified Nessus Auditor (TCNA), or Rapid7 Certified User (RCU) are highly desirable.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field OR 1+ years of IT experience.
    • Proven experience of at least 1 year of conducting vulnerability scans using Tenable Nessus Professional, Tenable or Rapid7
