Landscape Maintenance Field Supervisor

The Field Supervisor position is a hands on working position that will require not only the supervision of multiple working maintenance crews it will require working with them and standing in for absent workers, full execution of all job orders and schedules assigned to them.

The Field Supervisor will work under the direction of the Operations Manager that will provide schedules, orders and execution of assigned jobs.

Position requires a minimum of 3 years experience in commercial landscape maintenance and leadership supervision.

Applicant must have a high level of leadership capabilities including the following.

Must have a vast knowledge of principals and practices of commercial landscape maintenance including the use of equipment, tools and materials used in landscape maintenance and services.

Principals of supervision, training and practices of safety management.

Principals of landscape irrigation and horticulture.

Ability to organize, implement and direct landscape maintenance operations and activities.

Perform the most complex maintenance duties and operate all related equipment.

Supervise, train and evaluate assigned staff or crews. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those in contact with in the course of the work.

Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor field environment, travel from site to site, exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical hazards and all types of weather and temperature conditions, work in and around heavily vegetated swales and landscaped areas. Work and walk on various types of surfaces including slippery or uneven surfaces and rough terrain.

Physical ability and mobility to work in a field environment , to walk, stand, sit for prolonged periods of time, to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, twist and make repetitive hand movements in the performance of daily duties, to lift carry and push or pull in moderate amounts of weight, to operate equipment and vehicles and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Must have a valid and clean driving record.

Pesticide Applicators License is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: $35,000.00 to $44,000.00 annually
