    Job DescriptionVP of Accounting
    One of our clients is hiring a VP of Accounting. Great growing company that has plans to continue expanding this year. This person will work closely with the CFO and other C Suite.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred.
    • 15+ years relevant experience.
    • Big Four public accounting background strongly preferred.
    • Comprehensive and current understanding of GAAP and SEC rules and demonstrated ability to apply such knowledge to practical situations.
    • Significant experience with the preparation of GAAP financial statements.
    • Hands on approach balanced with big picture understanding – can transition quickly from tactical to strategic
    • Strong team player, results oriented, metrics driven and capable of working in a fast paced, changing environment.
    • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage various work assignments in a fast paced environment.

    Responsibilities:
    • Provide overall leadership to the Accounting team.
    • Prepare GAAP financial statements and financial and compliance reporting to banks and other various external parties.
    • Provide support to the CFO and VP Controller in communications with the Audit Committee and Board of Directors.
    • Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial reporting processes.
    • Coordination and support of the external audit and review processes.
    • Provide guidance, documentation and support related to technical accounting matters.
