Maintenance Technician - Waite Park, United States - GC Real Estate Partners

Description

We are looking for an experienced full-time maintenance person to work at our 120-unit apartment building in Waite Park, MN -- Westchester Apartments. This position will be approximately 40 hours per week.

General Responsibilities

• The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing work orders and making repairs to apartments, and common areas, and to ensure the proper operation, and care of equipment.
• The Maintenance Technician shall make efforts to use the most cost-effective methods when completing a task.
• Daily responsibilities include building maintenance, assisting with contractors onsite, daily interior and exterior curb appeal, and turnover repairs.
• Snow Removal of lot and sidewalks with bobcat
• Grounds maintenance – lawn mowing, edging, trimming and weeding and spraying weeds.
• Keeping an inventory of parts needed.
• Turn over maintenance including painting, screen repair, A/C installation, locks, baseboard repairs, general plumbing and electric repairs, and other general maintenance repairs in units and in the building common areas.
• Appliance repairs
• Any boiler service work shall be performed in accordance with boiler licensure and state regulations.
• Handle heat and cooling complaints with tenants.
• The Maintenance Technician is responsible for checking and restocking any common area supplies.
• Drywall repair when needed
• High attention to detail
• Must have great customer service and people skills as a large portion of this job will involve tenant interaction.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be able to start ASAP.
• Have Boiler license or willing to get it

A criminal background check will be done. Must have your own tools, we do provide larger equipment and some tools for you. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds. Must be available for being on call for after-hours emergencies.
