    Job Description and Responsibilities

    Mauser Packaging Solutions is a global leader in solutions and services across the packaging lifecycle, providing packaging worldwide to companies in industries from food, personal care, paints, and chemicals.

    Position Summary: The Safety and Quality Supervisor is a proactive leader who works under the guidance of corporate policies and procedures while adhering to all customer product standards and specifications managing the quality system for their assigned location. The Supervisor's strategic focus is to work with the plant operations team to continuously improve the quality that is built into Mauser products. This role also serves as the Safety Supervisor for the facility.

    Responsibilities

    Perform routine and special audits of processes and products at various stages of the production process to identify opportunities for improvement and material non-conformances.

    Utilize the control plan and testing plan and ensure that the products produced meet requirements.

    Complete all required shift quality documentation and reports.

    Participate in and lead 8D and Quality Improvement Teams.

    Understand and support the SPC /InfinityQS applications on shifts.

    Identify, hold, and evaluate suspect material.

    Provide training for associates in the application and use of the SOPs, QAPs, QWIs, and CQPs as directed.

    Review and analyze HFI's and HFI data.

    This role also serves as the main point of contact for Safety-related items and tasks.

    Uphold and support the Company's Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies.

    Trigger, track and keep the records of health and safety training for all employees.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    Minimum of a 2-year associate's degree from an accredited college or technical school. Instead of education have a minimum of ten (10) years' experience as a safety and quality in a manufacturing environment. Bachelor's degree preferred.

    A minimum of five (5) years experience as a Safety and quality auditor in a manufacturing environment.

    Must have experience being involved with and/or leading EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) related items or projects and strong chemical knowledge.

    OSHA30 certification is a plus

    ASQ Certification can be used in place of some or all education requirement

    Strong math skills including statistics as well as basic algebra.

    Fluent in English. Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English. Other language skills appropriate to the local environment would be desirable.

    SPC experience required

    Infinity/QS experience preferred

    Ability to work without direct supervision, self-starter.

    Strong interpersonal skills. Able to communicate and work with others and be assertive as required.

    Must have good problem-solving and reasoning skills.

    Strong computer skills – specifically Microsoft Word and Excel
