- Develop, implement, and manage quality control programs
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with production and R&D teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, particularly those involving frying technologies
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance product quality and consistency
- Work closely with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards for raw materials and ingredients used in snack production
- Conduct supplier audits and evaluations to ensure compliance with quality specifications

- Gather, organize, store, and keep all documents required for our food safety and quality programs updated
- Lead our annual and bi-annual food safety validation procedures
- Ensure compliance with record keeping and document control procedures on the production floor
- Periodically review our food safety program to ensure it complies with all USDA, State and Local Laws customer requirements
- Conduct unannounced audits and mock recalls
- Improve the food safety and quality programs through ongoing analysis of our production equipment, process, procedures, and team
- Review quality reports and conduct root cause analysis on deviations
- Create a culture that recognizes the importance of food safety and quality
- Lead the defense program
- Spend 50% of the day on the floor making certain that all food safety protocols are being met
- MUST HAVE 5-7 years' experience in food manufacturing with Food Safety/Quality
- Experience with oil, salt & fat analysis, texture and taste analysis experience is helpful
- Bachelor's Degree in food science/food engineering or related field is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve quality issues
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements – HACCP, USDA, BRCGS, and other relevant standards
- PCQI, HACCP Certified a plus
- Internal auditing experience preferred
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
- Expectational organizational and project management skills
- Ability to travel 5% of the time.
