    The business analyst is an important role in APQC's success.

    APQC's information technology consists of a combination of packaged software and custom software, as well as on-premise, hosted, and cloud-based infrastructure.

    This role will primarily assist the Enterprise IT Project manager in working with business leaders to understand their business requirements and translate them into formally documented technical requirements.

    This role will also serve to supplement the project management duties and tasks of the Enterprise IT Project Manager.
    The contractor must be located in Houston, Texas, and willing to be in the office three days per week.

    Responsibilities:
    Work closely with APQC business leaders and stakeholders to understand business requirements and document technical requirements.
    Maintain and monitor project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
    Learn and utilize project management tools, frameworks, and processes used to deliver projects at APQC.
    Organize, lead, and participate in project meetings (e.g., Scrums, sprint planning, project scoping, issue resolution, etc.).
    Document and follow-up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
    Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings.
    Hold vendors, project resources, and stakeholders accountable for deliverables.
    Assess project issues and participate in issue resolutions where applicable.
    Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.

    Qualifications & Skills:
    Bachelor's degree in business, management information systems, or related field of study.
    Certification(s) in business analysis is a plus.
    Five to ten years' experience in a business analysis role.
    Experience managing enterprise technology projects.
    Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
    Experience working in an agile environment.
    Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
    Ability to work on tight deadlines.

    Extensive experience in communicating with end users, other technical teams, and leadership to collect requirements, identify tasks, and meet deadlines.

    Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies, frameworks, and tools.
