    Responsibilities

    Join a high performing team providing acquisition and Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) for architecture modernization across our processing frameworks. Serve the Contracts Officer Technical Representative (COTR) by evaluating current designs, prototyping solutions for modern software architectures, and developing the acquisition and engineering strategies to transition to modern software solutions. Be part of an organization that is on the cutting edge of applying Agile, DevSecOps, test automation, Digital Engineering, Cloud, and Artificial Intelligence methods and technologies to solve our customer's toughest challenges.

    You will focus on analyzing current risks and issues across performance, cost, and schedule with the legacy processing framework systems. Extract lessons learned from a recent modern serverless prototype processing framework and apply them to future processing solutions. Develop technical objectives and design principles that can be levied on software acquisitions across research, development, test, and transition.

    Your responsibilities are to:

    • Participate in weekly Acquisition Office (AO) tag-ups between the Gov't, SETA, and Development team.
    • Participate in Development Architecture Review Boards and Change Management Boards to ensure the development team is meeting Gov't expectations.
    • Define and prioritize modernization content for development releases and sprints.
    • Define acceptance criteria and witness development demonstrations to validate and verify requirements have been met.
    • Prepare and execute contract modifications to add scope, justify extensions, and receive funding.
    • Review specifications and interfaces of current systems and determine how best to architect new solutions or enhance current systems to adopt: containerization, loosely coupled interfaces, event driven architecture, high availability, and high reliability.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5
    • Must Possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly
    • Experience with Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) or Software Acquisition.
    • Experience with Software Acquisition processes, artifacts, and events.
    • Strong representational, oral, and written communications skills; including the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise products.
    • Proven organization and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interface effectively via written and oral forums with personnel at all levels of government.

    Desired:

    • Experience with GEOINT processing systems.
    • Knowledge of SAFe or Agile frameworks.
    • Knowledge of EO or RADAR systems, CONOPS, or data types.
    • Experience with commercial Atlassian tools (e.g. Confluence, JIRA).
