    KThe Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) is one of Georgia's four health agencies serving the state's growing population of over 10 million people.

    DCH serves as the lead agency for Medicaid, oversees the State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP) and Healthcare Facility Regulation, impacting one in four Georgians.

    The Georgia Board of Health Care Workforce is seeking to hire a Business Support Analyst II.

    Job ResponsibilitiesUnder general supervision, performs complex administrative duties and statistical, financial, or operational data analysis and reporting in support of management decision making in functional area.

    Identifies trends, discrepancies, and variances to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. May partner with other departments, divisions, outside agencies, and vendors to address business issues. Exercises various latitudes of independent judgment. May administer or provide high level support for various projects, grants, contracts, implementation of procedures, and/or any specialized functions. Assists with orientation, training, or providing task guidance of junior team members.

    Familiarity with data analysis software such as SPSS (including coding, data cleaning, merging data sets, and functions).Should be able to analyze statistics that are produced from external sources.

    On an ongoing basis will do data analysis for Graduate Medical Education slot counts for workforce calculations and analysisFamiliarity with descriptive statistics and ability to discern which techniques to useProficiency with Microsoft Word, especially in creating coherent reports, presentations, and charts and graphs.

    Strong command of Excel and PowerPoint.
    Communicate with licensure data vendor (System Automation) to receive licensure data for analysis.

    Desire and willingness to continuously learn new data skillsTroubleshoot software and data issues using online resources and consulting with data staffUse best practices to clean data and document changes madeCreate pivot tables and use formulas for quick analysis of data sets in ExcelCollaborate with staff of multiple state agencies to achieve data sharing goalsDevelop and adhere to a timeline of data collectionAbility to communicate clearly through public speaking and able to convey their complex work in simple language to certain audiences.

    Write in a clear and compelling mannerTake ownership of work and output, being able to answer detailed questions about analysis process Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years of experience related to area of assignment.
