- Develop and maintain a Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) Management Plan IAW current Department of Defense (DoD) RIO guidance that identifies a robust approach based upon the leading practice RIO Management fundamentals of Risk Identification, Risk Assessment, Risk Response Planning (mitigation), and Risk Monitoring
- Develop, recommend, and maintain the RIO Management reporting measures and metrics used by the program.
- Develop and conduct RIO Management training to program members.
- Conduct risk assessments and maintain all RIO Management systems, tools, and documentation.
- Participate in portfolio-level risk management board meetings and drive program-level preparatory meetings and activities throughout the monthly RIO Management cycle.
- Work with Risk Owners and Action Officers to develop, maintain, and synchronize RIOs at the portfolio, program, and workstream levels.
- Ensure program leadership has visibility of the status of RIOs actively being addressed and monitored by the PMO.
- Prepare briefings and reports as appropriate.
- Support other PMO Operations activities and special projects as required
- Certification(s): Preferred - Project Management Professional (PMP) and or Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) - years demonstrated experience in a similar position will substitute for certifcations.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience, with 3+ years DoD SAP ERP experience, and 3+ years of experience in RIO Management in the DoD
- Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve functional and technological problems.
- Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of DoD and Commercial RIO Management leading practices
- Understanding of the complexities of DoD ERP environments and Army Logistics
- Experience working with distributed computer systems, software, and associated communication networks.
- Experience with DoD Acquisition Regulations, Directives, Instructions and Policies
- Experience working with typical office software and hardware products.
- Possess excellent communication skills to interact with senior leaders, team members, customers, and support personnel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be available for travel to Huntsville, AL, Northern Virginia, and other locations as needed (less than 25%)
- U.S citizenship and an Active Secret clearance required.
