    POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for leading the development and execution of product and category business plans that align with Jack's brand positioning, menu vision, and overall business strategies, including overseeing concepts from ideation to execution, ensuring a robust pipeline of successful products and categories across multiple menu categories and dayparts, partnering with department leadership in setting targets and expectations for products and categories relative to food and packaging costs, pricing, margin, ROI, and stakeholder engagement.

    Strategic Planning and Positioning - Defines product and category growth & development strategies aligned with brand guidelines and sets objectives to achieve sales growth, profit, and target ROI for menu development and high impact test and system promotions.

    - Leads and prioritizes product development processes, category optimization, category innovation, and effective communication of product/category initiatives within the company and among key stakeholders, including franchise operators.

    - Product Development and Pipeline Management - Leads the new product development stage-gate process, ensuring alignment with menu strategy and vision, and guiding development of a robust product pipeline based on a thorough understanding of consumer preferences, culinary trends, the broader restaurant and financial environment, and competitive landscape.

    - Partners with colleagues and direct reports to establish project timetables, oversee product execution, interpret test findings, and assess research results.

    - Works closely with culinary, consumer insights, sales analytics, training, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure a coordinated development effort.

    Decision-Making and Communication - Makes informed recommendations on the viability and success of product/categories based on performance expectations, test findings, consumer insights, and competitive activity.

    - Communicates decisions to key business partners and stakeholders and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to understand key business drivers and implications of marketing initiatives.

    - Summarizes findings and makes recommendations to senior leadership regarding which initiatives should be implemented.

    ? Collaboration with Integrated Marketing Management - Partners with integrated marketing management on creative design and production of Point of Purchase (POP) materials, calendar development, menu development, and product development information needed for field and stakeholder communications.

    Supports brand initiatives such as new market expansions, menu deletions, competitive/effective pricing strategies, and other strategic initiatives as may be assigned.

    Performance Monitoring and Reporting - Continuously monitors and assesses the performance of menu items/categories against established targets and objectives and provides regular reports and insights to senior leadership regarding the success of product marketing and category management initiatives.

    Sets clear performance expectations and conducts regular performance evaluations


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
    Product Marketing Managers (3-5)
    Education - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA helpful.
    Experience years progressive leadership experience in product marketing, preferably in the restaurant, consumer goods, or retail industry. Experience with a franchise business model highly desired.
    Advanced knowledge and execution of marketing strategies and product management.

    Requires strong leadership and project management skills, business acumen, sound business judgment, decision-making, and the ability to influence decision makers at all levels.

    Excellent oral and written English communication skills, interpersonal skills, presentation skills, and planning skills.
    Strong analytic skills, with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
    Proficient knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office 365 and applications (i.e., Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
    Ability to lead teams and link with other functions to ensure smooth execution of marketing projects.
    Ability to effectively lead and coach product marketing team.
    Ability to operate a personal computer. Ability to travel approximately 15%-20% of time as business needs require.
