- Willing to work a flexible schedule of 15 – 25 hours per week
- Comfortable contacting people in person at their homes, often without notice
- Valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and access to reliable transportation
- Willings to drive 50 miles or more round trip to complete required task
- Reside within 100 miles of the location displayed in this job posting
- Ability to use a NORC-provided tablet and applications for tasks such as sending emails and capturing notes about work completed
- Attend all virtual and in-person training sessions
- Travel for 3-day in-person training sessions located in Greater Chicago, NYC, or the Los Angeles area
- Provide evidence of identity and authorization to work in the United States (I-9 documentation)
- Eligible to work in the U.S. We regret that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position
- Field Interviewers working on the 2025 SCF project are eligible to earn an additional $50 - $100 biweekly if required training and performance standards are met and maintained
- NORC will contribute to an individually owned, fully vested retirement account with TIAA at a rate of $4.93 for each hour worked, and contributions will be made on a quarterly basis
- Intermittent staff are eligible to make pre-tax or post-tax contributions as part of NORC's Supplemental Retirement Plan
- The pay range for field interviewers in New York is $19.00-$31.42 per hour. The starting rate for field interviewers in New York is $19.00/hour
