General Summary

The Senior Business Analyst is a key member of the organization's business and technology teams, responsible for analyzing business processes, eliciting, and documenting requirements, and facilitating the successful implementation of technology solutions that meet the needs of the business.

This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, project managers, and development teams to drive projects to successful completion.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job.

Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.

This role may be eligible for remote work on an occasional or regular basis, subject to job requirements, scheduling requirements, onsite operational needs, and manager approval.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements, including functional and non-functional specifications.
Analyze existing business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement, efficiency gains, and cost savings.

Create comprehensive and clear business requirement documents (BRDs), user stories, use cases, process flows, and other relevant documentation to communicate requirements to development teams.

Validate requirements with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and gather feedback for refinement.

Work closely with architects and developers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and design solutions that meet business needs.

Collaborate with quality assurance teams to develop test plans and test cases, ensuring that the implemented solution meets the specified requirements.

Support change management activities, including user training, communication plans, and documentation updates.
Assist in project management tasks, such as project planning, tracking, and reporting progress to stakeholders.
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions and process improvements.

Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across different departments, acting as a liaison between business units and technology teams.

Identify and mitigate project risks by proactively addressing issues and proposing alternative solutions.
Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies and provide recommendations for process and system enhancements.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Knowledge of relevant software and tools, such as Microsoft Office, project management software, and data analysis tools.

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
Position has limited fiscal responsibility. May assist in the collection of data in support of recommendations for departmental budget allocations. May monitor division or program/promotional level budget and expenditures.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least three (3) to five (5) years of related work experience.
At least two (2) to three (3) years of experience working with Microsoft Business Central
At least 6 months of experience working with Power BI
An equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities may be considered.

Required Licenses Or Certifications

Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) (Preferred)
Project Management Professional (PMP) (Preferred)

Knowledge Of

COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE OF JOB DUTIES
Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
Familiarity with business process modeling tools.
English grammar, spelling, punctuation
Knowledge of relevant software and tools, such as Microsoft Office, project management software, and data analysis tools.

Strong Interpersonal/collaboration skills necessary to develop and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships

Work in a rapidly changing environment
Perform assigned tasks with minimal direct supervision

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a 100% on-site position.
May work in a normal office environment and/or remote office as approved. Will sometimes be required to work and/or attend meetings.
Monday through Friday 8am until 5pm
Occasional abnormal or on-call hours are expected and required for specific events or high-priority projects.

TRAVEL
Occasional travel within the metropolitan area may be required.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position is relative free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards and minimal physical effort.

Incumbents may be required to exert up to up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
