SOUND GOOD? GREAT. HERES WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR:

• Negotiate settlements with adverse carrier representatives, attorneys, or claimants on behalf of Connecticut Cities, Towns and Boards of Education.

Communicate subrogation needs and investigation strategies.

• Issue notices in accordance with state specific regulations.
• Provide detailed updates on claim status.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOULL NEED TO BRING THE FOLLOWING SKILLS TO THE TABLE:

• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Strong knowledge of insurance liability, theory, and practices.
• Demonstrated skills in loss investigations, evaluations, and negotiations.

Strong knowledge of commercial general liability, commercial automobile, property and/or Workers' Compensation insurance coverages.

At least 5 years of experience in claim processing is preferred.

Knowledge of property and casualty insurance is a plus

YOULL ALSO NEED THE FOLLOWING ATTRIBUTES:

Robust communication skills both written and verbal.

Strong ability to think critically and aptitude for problem solving with a high degree of ownership and delivery.

Keen writing skills ability to produce clear, concise and high quality business documents.

A desire to work collaboratively in cross functional teams.

Knowledge of Claims Systems such as Guidewire, etc.

Bachelors Degree or equivalent with a background in an industry-related field is preferred
