    Job Summary:
    As a Guest Services Intern, you will be directly submerged in the workings of the Registration Station. There you will have hands-on experience working with guests in a resort setting.

    You will be tasked with ensuring that guests have an enjoyable experience, answering their questions, providing information, making reservations, and assisting with any needs they may have.

    You will be working closely with management with the daily operations of guest services, while learning about our bear appearances and services that we offer.

    You will also take part in the end of day responsibilities, along with paperwork that is required. You will gain practical experience with the financial side of breaking down drawers, counting money, etc.

    You will work closely with our guest services team to provide support and assistance, as well as to help develop and implement new strategies for improving guest experiences.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Greet guests as they arrive and provide a warm welcome.
    • Provide guests with information about the organization and its services.
    • Answer guest inquiries, both in person and over the phone
    • Make reservations and schedule bear appearances as needed.
    • Direct guests to their specified site destination.
    • Assist guests with any needs they may have.
    • Maintain a clean and organized guest services area.
    • Assist with the implementation of new guest services strategies.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth guest experiences.
    • Handle guest complaints or issues and escalate them to the appropriate person as necessary.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Guest Services Manager

    Requirements:

    • Currently enrolled in a hospitality, tourism program or related field of study.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
    • Ability to work well in a team environment.
    • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
    • Professional demeanor and appearance.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills

    The Guest Services Intern will gain valuable experience and skills, as well as gain insight while working with the general public in a resort setting.

    The Registration Station is the hub of guest services at South Haven Jellystone Park.

    This is where guests develop their first impression of the resort, as well as to assist in making future reservations or golf cart reservations.

    The reservation station is also where one gets to be the concierge of the resort. Guests will look to you for ideas for local tourism spots to check out.
