    Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

    Location: Moreno Valley, CA

    Job Description: We are in need of a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in the Moreno Valley area throughout the academic year. The perfect candidate should possess hands-on experience in a school environment and a solid foundation in offering diagnostic and therapeutic services for students with communication challenges. As an SLP, your role will involve conducting assessments, creating personalized education plans (IEPs), and implementing proven interventions to meet students' communication needs. A collaborative approach with teachers, parents, and the education team is crucial for effective student assistance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct thorough evaluations to assess students' speech and language capabilities, covering articulation, fluency, voice, and language skills.
    • Design and execute tailored education plans based on assessments, student objectives, and educational standards.
    • Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in groups, in-person or via teletherapy when necessary.
    • Collaborate with teachers, special education personnel, and other experts to enhance students' academic and functional achievements.
    • Track student progress, adapting intervention strategies as required to fulfill desired results.
    • Offer guidance, training, and assistance to educators, parents, and guardians on methods to enhance communication and language development.
    • Maintain precise and timely records of evaluation outcomes, progress notes, IEPs, and related data.
    • Attend IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team sessions, and professional development events to support ongoing improvement and best practices.
    • Stay updated on research, trends, and evidence-based methods in speech-language pathology to guide interventions and decision-making.

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree (or higher) in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
    • Valid license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California.
    • Certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
    • Prior experience working with school-age children, preferably in an educational environment.
    • Strong clinical abilities in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering effective collaboration with students, parents, educators, and colleagues.
    • Proficient in using assessment tools, therapy methods, and technology to deliver top-notch services.
    • Capable of working autonomously and as part of a team in a dynamic school setting.
    • Dedication to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in education and clinical settings.
