- Plans, coordinates and directs the daily operations of a specific shift on a clinical unit.

Are you ready to join a nursing unit that places an emphasis on teamwork while delivering specialized care to a neuroscience population? Look no further than 3G and its distinguished level-4 Epilepsy monitoring Unit (EMU).
On 3G, you will honeyour skills working with lumbar drains, EMU protocols, telemetry, tracheostomies,gastrostomy tubes, heparin drips, IV antibiotics, and antiepileptics.
3G is the proud recipient of the Silver Beacon Award for Excellence and is an integral part of the hospital's Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Program.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
MINIMUM Qualifications:
Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Two years experience as an RN with a minimum of two years of experience in the area of concentration. Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board. Certification preferred. BLS required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
If promoted internally or hired externally, the incumbent must complete UCN/SNM criteria requirements within nine months of promotion or hire, including completion of Enhancing your Communication HLC#6488, completion of formal preceptor training workshop and enrollment in LEAP course.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
(Medium-Heavy lbs, 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 20-35 lbs, 34-66% of the workday; (frequently); 10-20 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 75 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 35 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking; Occasional sitting; Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing); Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
