- Populate Integrated Library Systems (ILS) database using current NGA modified MARC 21, AACR2R, and RDA standards.
- Follow all established NGA cataloging guidelines.
- Update Cataloging SOPs for new/altered product lines.
- Conduct metadata reviews and verification of data integrity.
- Request and maintain access to security domain systems (SBU/NIPR, SecNet, NGANet).
- Provide weekly metrics tracking number of items cataloged.
- Responsible for working with appropriate leadership and team leads, to provide input on the overall management strategy and approach to data integrity efforts and cataloging practices.
- Maintain proper file management in accordance with division standards.
- Support collection development; e.g. filing, bar codes, storage, in process mail, etc.
- Conduct collection maintenance services, e.g. filing, bar codes, storage, in process mail, etc.
- A combination of 3-5 years of experience working in cataloging, computer-based data entry, or in the application of MARC 21, AACR2R, or RDA standards.
- Course work in Cartography or Geodesy or 1 year of demonstrated experience working with metadata and coordinate systems (MGRS, Lat/Long, UTMs).
- Understanding of DoD or IC produced maps/products
- TS/SCI
- Knowledge of library clerical procedures and practices.
- Ability to remain flexible to changing priorities and requirements from supervisors and customers.
- Understanding of partner produced maps/products.
- Experience with customer service.
- Proficient in file management.
