To support this, were looking for an experienced Head of Learning and Development, with deep expertise in designing and executing end-to-end scalable programs for the development of leaders, managers, and employees at all levels.

    In this role, youll be an influencer, a thought leader, and an agent of change, identifying opportunities to shape our talent pipeline for the future and leading a team of talented instructional designers who serve both Commonwealth home office employees and our Advisor community. The programs you develop, and lead, will support our goal of being a place where everyone can be their authentic selves and thrive.     Key Responsibilities

    • Leading the L&D function, including organizational development, talent management, and instructional design
    • Identifying the organizations training and development needs and create new initiatives or reform and improve existing programs
    • Collaborating with Business Unit leaders to align training to business goals
    • Planning, measuring, and reporting on L&D programs. Will possess up-to-date knowledge of best practices in organizational learning, adult learning, and leadership ability
    • Establishing assessment standards and benchmarks to evaluate program success and effectiveness in enhancing the workforces capabilities
    • In partnership with existing team members, design and implement talent management programs, including talent reviews, succession planning, talent pool creation, and competency frameworks
    • Developing and implementing a robust Leadership Development program
    • With HR business partners, establishing strategic workforce planning structures to understand where to strengthen our organization
    • Leading the production of guides, videos, and supporting content for employees and advisors
    • Evaluating the current Learning Management System and exploring fresh solutions
    • Ensuring the L&D work enhances Commonwealths reputation as an inclusive and welcoming workplace
    • Serving as a strategic advisor to senior leadership regarding the development of the workforce
    • Establishing and measuring L&D program effectiveness based on impact of the programs, knowledge, and behavior change
    • Managing the annual L&D budget

    Core Strengths and Skills

    • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Learning and Development, with multiple years of experience in a leadership role
    • Ability to meet the needs of the business in a flexible, virtual, and in-office environment
    • Experience with building partnerships and influencing stakeholders
    • Proven ability to build and nurture teams
    • High level of creative and critical thinking
    • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision
    • Acute business acumen and an understanding of organizational challenges
    • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to build and sustain positive relationships at all levels
    • Capable of navigating a growing firm while maintaining cultural awareness and flexibility
    • Proven ability to meet goals and drive outcomes while collaborating with others
    • Strong organizational and program management skills; capable of working on multiple key projects at a time
    • A strategic and thoughtful approach to decision-making
    • Able to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
