    Associate Registrar for Graduation and Degree Audit

    Overview

    Job Responsibilities
    Responsible for scripting/encoding and updating program requirements in the College Source uAchieve Suite of products, and providing decision support across the institution. Oversees the database architecture and content for all of the academic requirements including the core requirements, departmental requirements, and college requirements, including all graduate level programs.
    Degree Audit System Engineering:(50%)
    Primary responsibilities will include programming and maintenance of the Degree Audit system (uAchieve) including coding and creating curriculum content in general education, major and minor requirements; independently update existing requirements; tracking and maintaining curriculum changes over time; identify alternate encoding options; responds to substitution and waiver requests within 24-48 hours. Develop, test, debug and implement encoding solutions. Provide direction in developing testing methodology and test scripts for utilization during testing and upgrades. Provides in-person assistance, training and documentation as needed. Demonstrated ability to gather and provide analysis for user requirements and produce appropriate data for all operational functions and capability of making informed decisions regarding software.Analytics: (10%)Responds to internal requests for data concerning current students and classes. Compiles with Solomon Amendment data requests.
    Student Information System Engineering:(5%)
    Encodes new majors and Minors. Creates new courses and applies pre-requisites and restrictions within 24-48 hours of receipt. Troubleshoots with OIT issues as it relates to SIS. Providing direction in developing testing methodology and test scripts for utilization during upgrades. Evaluating and adjusting where appropriate the Ellucian Banner setup table as it relates to registration, grading and graduation. Provides in-person Banner assistance, training and documentation as needed.Degree Certification Process Ownership: (20%)Assist with degree certification process utilizing uAchieve. Reviews student's academic record and creates an audit of completed requirements and missing work necessary for degree completion, including Latin honors and other graduation awards. Communicates audit information to the student and advisor for follow-up if necessary and discusses possible appeal options to resolve issues. Creates and verifies data on official University Commencement program.Undergraduate Transfer Credit Evaluation: (5%)Assists in the completion and review of all official credit evaluations. Oversees and completes the articulation of transfer credits for new and transfer student records, including manual exemptions in u.Achieve.National Student Clearinghouse: (5%)Responsible for clearinghouse reporting
    Other (5%).Assist with course registration as neededProcesses withdrawal from University formsPrepares and maintains documentation of processes and procedures.Assists with enrollment and degree verifications as necessaryOther duties as assigned

    Education / Experience
    Bachelor's degree in relevant field3 to 5 years' experience in higher education.Registrar's Office experience preferred.Experience with a computerized data and degree audit system and Microsoft Access required. Experience with Banner and College Source uAchieve suite preferred.

    Competencies / Skills
    Three to five years' experience scripting in a degree audit system. College Source uAchieve preferred. Strong Banner Student ERP experience. Ability to think logically and sequentially, attention to detail, excellent time management skills.
