    Job Title: Sr. Electric Operations Resource Coordinator

    Duration: 6+ Months contract

    Location: Providence, RI

    Pay Rate: $50-$55/hour on W2.

    • Ability to travel as required to various locations throughout RI with a Valid driver's license**

    Job Description:

    • The Resource Coordinators at the client will coordinate, schedule, and deliver all of the Electric Distribution work to both internal and external field crews compliment for all RI. This role works closely with the Supervisors for the assigned line platforms or substations.

    Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities for all roles

    • To manage construction work and resource assignments in the most efficient, cost-effective way to meet the work plan for Client, based on workforce availability, performance, geographic optimization, and schedule optimization this includes scheduling to full resource availability, in real time.
    • Responsible for scheduling and coordination of short and long-term Opex and Capital construction projects to both internal and external contractor crews, ensuring all customer and project need dates are met.
    • Manage all internal Client Energy system and processes to deliver a concise, yet all inclusive, project folder to an external contractor who will execute the field work this includes ordering all material and deliveries, providing job cards and drawings and any paperwork/forms, and includes collecting as built at work completion.
    • Monitor work backlog in the area to ensure timely completion of all projects.
    • Manage, balance, and coordinate external and internal resources to optimize short- and long-term resource needs.
    • Monitor and review work undertaken by project team to ensure appropriate use of materials, tools, equipment or resources and adherence to schedules.
    • Identify scheduling and need date risks due to resource constraints, field conditions, material and or equipment issues, and recommend appropriate action.
    • Support divisional reliability activities by making sure all activities are scheduled and progressed.
    • Oversee the bundling and prioritization of contingency and maintenance work to capitalize on opportunities for efficiencies and maximize fleet utilization.
    • Facilitate construction meetings with stakeholders to ensure optimum scheduling and compliance.
    • Act as the primary point of contact, providing advice guidance and support to relevant third parties to ensure everyone is informed and aware of changes to construction schedules and decisions/actions taken.
    • Experience managing project teams and projects independently.
    • Able to use direct persuasion to influence others to accept proposals.
    • Should be able to develop relationships with key stakeholders to fully explain and support the implementation of Client policies and processes.
    • Understanding of Electrical Overhead & UG Line work, or Substation Work there is normally a separation of duties within the department of Lin vs Substation Resource Coordination

    Qualifications

    • An associate degree from a technical school is desired.
    • 4-6+ years related experience, preferably in the utility industry
    • Knowledge and experience of scheduling, operations, project, and program management
    • Knowledge and understanding of Rhode Islands policies and practices and how to apply them effectively.
    • Planning skills including the ability to prioritize assignments.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Demonstrate personal accountability for delivering performance excellence.
    • Demonstrate proficient computer skills in systems like, utility Work management and other Data Systems, as well as MS Office applications.
