Job Summary
The Good Samaritan Society is looking for a caring and flexible Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team as a Travel CNA. This role involves local travel to various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius of your home address, offering competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract commitment. Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, vital sign monitoring, and providing emotional support. The position also involves meal preparation, housekeeping, and encouraging resident participation in activities.
The CNA assists healthcare providers with procedures when necessary, documents resident interactions, communicates changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff, and performs tasks like collecting vital signs and non-invasive fluid specimens. Continuing education and certification maintenance are required. Depending on responsibilities, the role may involve driving duties.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred, but not mandatory.
Minimum age of 16. Prior experience in long-term care is a plus.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required. Training provided by the facility.
Completion of yearly competency testing and continuing education credits.
Certification and registration as required by the state.
If applicable, must meet driver qualifications. Medical clearance for driving may be required.
